2019 International E-Waste Day

50 million tonnes of e-waste were generated across the planet in 2018. Half of this amount comes from computers, screens, smartphones, tablets and TVs. Only 20% will be properly recycled so as to minimize environmental damage.

The International E-Waste Day was launched in 2018 by the pan-European organization WEEE Forum, with the support of its members. On October 14, 2019 we will talk about the harmful impact of this type of waste for the environment. Hundreds of WEEE awareness and collection actions will be organized worldwide to increase the overall recycling rate for electrical appliances.

The Recycling Patrol and the RoRec Association will also participate this year in the International E-Waste Day, along with 50 other organizations from 40 countries. Are you ready?
