Recycling patrols in Sibiu, Arges and Harghita awarded for their WEEE collection performance

The Recycling Patrol has new champions! Children and teachers of the Recycling Patrols in Sibiu, Arges and Harghita bring the national trophies of the edition to their counties and demonstrate that school can help us Romanians to be more responsible with the environment.

In this edition, national awards have been granted to patrols of the counties who mobilized their communities to collect the greatest amount of electrical waste per inhabitant. The threshold for qualification was 50 g WEEE / inhabitant.

Until now, the Recycling Patrols have managed to convince Romanians to send to recycling more than 1,300,000 kg, out of which over 510,000 kg only in this edition! They deserve our congratulations together with their supporters – parents, neighbors, businesses, institutions and other schools which collected electrical waste to support them.

The prizes offered by RoRec represent electrical equipment for teaching purposes or at choice, supporting the cost for the organization of an ecological trip.

Awarded county patrols alongside their supporters celebrate their victory in an eco-party full of surprises, fun workshops and music. The events will take place as follows:

  • September 25 –  Recycling Patrol Day in Arges;
  • October 2 – Recycling Patrol Day in Harghita;
  • October 4 – Recycling Patrol Day in Sibiu.

The good news from the Recycling Patrol continue: on September 17 the enrollment in the 2015-2016 edition began! An opportunity for new kindergartens, primary, secondary and high schools across the country to join the most active youth ecological movement in Romania.
