The competition "the Patrols are introducing themselves", organized on the facebook account of the Recycling Patrol was closed at the end of February 26, 2013. The winning patrol comes from School no 3 in Mangalia and will receive as a prize a digital camera. There were other two impressive presentations, which made us award two supplementary prizes! The School "Basarab I" in Curtea de Argeș will receive a digital photo frame, while the students from the Technological High School "Joannes Kajoni" in Miercurea Ciuc will receive a set of PC speakers.
We can put our hand on our heart and say that in the end, all Recycling Patrol won in this competition. More than 150,000 people commented on their pictures on Facebook, and the album gathered more than 18,000 Likes!
These results stand for the recognition of the Recycling Patrols’ endeavors and proof of their impact upon communities. These children were amazing and deserve our appreciation! All participating Patrols earned the public esteem for the way they introduced themselves, as well as the admiration of their schoolmates, friends and people who voted for them. It was also a means to enhance their self-confidence in the capacity to mobilize the community, an experience of a first endeavor that shows how many people can find out about them, how much interest their actions for environmental education and WEEE collection can generate.
