To mark the 10 year celebration since Romania signed the Treaty of Accession to the EU, APM (Environment Protection Agency) Bistrița, alongside the Romanian Recycling Association and Bistriţa Năsăud Prefecture organized a WEEE collection campaign within the public institutions of Bistriţa Năsăud County.

The campaign took place between 29 April – 9 May 2015 and 13 public institutions  participated, separately collecting 8,368 kg of e-waste.

The entire amount of WEEE collected from more than 2,000 civil servants  of 13 public institutions in Bistrița-Năsăud represents  the reached European target of 4 kg of WEEE DEEE/inhabitant, within this campaign.
