Press release on setting up 8 Structures of Social Economy

RoRec Association has launched 8 Structures of Social Economy within the project “Increasing the opportunities for social inclusion by setting up Structures of Social Economy for people belonging to vulnerable groups from three development regions in Romania”, with a view to contribute to an innovative and flexible model of job creation for vulnerable people in Romania.

The 8 operational Structures of Social Economy (SES) activating in the field of collecting, sorting and preparing for recycling waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) were set up in the Western, Central, North-Eastern Regions of Romania, ensuring services for Timiș, Mureș, Brașov, Alba, Hunedoara, Sibiu, Suceava and Bacău counties.

Alba Iulia SES hired 6 persons, out of which 4 from families with more than two children/single parents or persons with a guaranteed minimum income.

Harman SES (Brașov County) hired 4 persons, out of which 3 from families with more than two children/single parents or persons with a guaranteed minimum income.

Hunedoara SES hired 6 persons, out of which 4 from families with more than two children/single parents or persons with a guaranteed minimum income.

Oituz SES (Bacău county) hired 4 persons, out of which 3 from families with more than two children/single parents or persons with a guaranteed minimum income.

Săcălaz SES (Timiș county) hired 6 persons, out of which 4 from families with more than two children/single parents or persons with a guaranteed minimum income.

Șcheia SES (Suceava county) hired 6 persons, out of which 4 from families with more than two children/single parents or persons with a guaranteed minimum income.

 Sibiu SES hired 6 persons, out of which 4 from families with more than two children/single parents or persons with a guaranteed minimum income.

Sîncraiu de Mureș SES (Mureș county) hired 5 persons, out of which 3 from families with more than two children/single parents or persons with a guaranteed minimum income.

The vulnerable persons are hired as WEEE handler, forklift drive and utility car driver.

SESs develop operations of WEEE collection within the respective county, as well as WEEE transporting, sorting and storing, for transfer to main recycling plants.

The consumers can benefit from their services by directly bringing the e-waste to the centre or by calling up the Green Line 0800 444 800 (free of charge from any network, daily available between 09.00-17.00 hours) to request a free pick-up from home/headquarters of large and heavy appliances.

The SES mission is to contribute to the improvement of life quality and community development by creating jobs, providing training on the job, enhancing the social inclusion of vulnerable persons, encouraging the solidarity of community towards its members, without ignoring the environmental norms in Romania..
