Radio Gold FM will host weekly, starting Thursday, March 16, 2017, the Recycling Patrol Hour, the show of the youngest but experienced environmental volunteers in Romania.
Every Thursday, at 12:00, at the Radio Gold FM Recycling Patrol Hour, Patrol’s representatives and invitees will help us discover how we can live nicer and healthier by taking care of what’s around us. Listeners will find out how many benefits brings a lifestyle in harmony with nature – how they can help reduce pollution and save the most valuable resources, how they can support initiatives in the field, and participate with well-known environmentalists to campaigns for a better life.
In each show we will launch a prize contest and 3 “eco” ideas – friendly gestures to nature, simple and easy to put into practice in everyday life.
In the six years since they have been campaigning for nature protection and encouraging the separate collection of electrical waste in their communities, teachers, children and young people in the National Environmental Education Program Recycling Patrol have accumulated an experience worth sharing. A balance sheet would look like this: 90,000 students involved, 3,000 trained teachers, over 2,000,000 kg of electrical waste collected in Romania due to their campaigns, 3,500,000 Romanians who know more about the impact of electrical waste on nature, First Prize for the best program of the year at the Civil Society Gala 2015, the High Patronage of His Royal Highness Princess Maria of Romania, the DEEECollect smartphone application made with the help of Telekom Romania Foundation.
