Romanian association for Recycling RoRec

RoRec’s mission is to actively contribute to the conservation, protection and improvement of the quality of the environment and human health, for the rational use of natural resources, by ensuring full management of waste electrical and electronic equipment and implicitly by reintroducing raw materials in the economic circuit.

In order to fulfil its mission, the RoRec Association has initiated partnerships for the collecting activities with local authorities and equipment distributors. The RoRec Association works together with companies that specialise in the treatment of used equipment according to the norms.

We take a fundamental and constant interest in informing the customers about the harmful effects that waste electrical and electronic equipment has on the environment, as well as in raising public awareness for the rational use of resources, because the WEEE represents an alternative source of secondary raw materials.

The results of our collecting projects are monitored by the National Environmental Protection Agency and they play an important part in fulfilling the country objectives set together with the European Union, aiming to reach a high level of selective collection and WEEE recycling.

The RoRec Association focuses on making each of us aware of the impact we have in the community where we live, and of the fact that we are directly responsible of the waste that we generate. WEEE represents a source of secondary raw materials and by recycling it we contribute to the rational use of natural resources. It also represents a threat to the environment unless it is correctly recycled.
