We were partners in the National Environment Guard Day
The Romanian Association for Recycling RoRec participated as supporting partner at the special event organised by the environment authority on National Environment Guard Day in March.
It was a different kind of celebration, where the children and the young people invited to take part in the event played the most important role. The students of the International Informatics Highschool in Bucharest are already well-known for their exceptional results in informatics and mathematics competitions. Now they have proved that they are also interested in the planet’s future and, implicitly, their own future. They participated at this event in order to raise the alarm and urge adults to change their attitude towards the environment.
At the same time, Mr. Silvian Ionescu, General Commissioner of the National Environment Guard, wanted to thank the children and all those who had answered the call for an environmentally-friendly attitude - ‘Fii ECO’n’OM’, an original national educational project, involving the young generation as well as teachers and the public. The Romanian Association for Recycling is a partner in this project, together with other environmental institutions and organisations.
