Today we are opening a new own collection centre in Bistrita
The RoRec Association continues its campaign for the extending the WEEE local collection centres network. We launched this campaign in 2009, when 10 such centres were opened. The 2010 campaign starts with the WEEE collection centre in Bistrita, a project which was set up together with the Town Hall of the Municipality of Bistrita and with the direct support of the Mayor of Bistrita, Mr. Ovidiu Cretu.
‘We must take care of the environment and ensure that this waste containing toxic substances is collected and then delivered to those institutions specialised in recycling such materials. I want to thank the people of Bistrita for their effort to bring their old electrical and electronic equipment to these collection centres,’ said Mr. Ovidiu Cretu, Mayor of the Municipality of Bistrita before the opening of the RoRec Centre.
The Bistrita Town Hall runs every month WEEE collection campaigns, according to Government Decision no. 448/2005 on waste electrical and electronic equipment.
