On the anniversary of the Vaslui city, the locals have decided to celebrate in a proper city
Celebrated with joy between August 19th and 22nd, the anniversary of Vaslui has drawn the locals out of their homes and to the party put together by the Municipality. Over 200 inhabitants of this city, attested in chronicles since 1375, have decided that this was the time to follow the campaign initiated by the RoRec Association: ”Waste doesn’t belong at home. Celebrate the Vaslui anniversary in a proper city!”
The campaign was organized by the RoRec Association in partnership with the Vaslui Municipality, and provided the community with a useful service and favourable circumstances for promoting WEEE collection.
“The partnership we have with RoRec Association comes to complete a constant preoccupation of the Municipality towards the environment. We’re convinced that the continuous cooperation with the RoRec Association will be ultimately extremely successful”, eng. Vasile Pavăl, Mayor of Vaslui, said.
Thus, more than 200 townspeople gave away old or worn-out appliances at the temporary drop off center set up by RoRec on the pedestrian alley nearby the Sports’ Hall.
It is important to be emphasise that RoRec members activating in the manufacturing industry get involved in ever increasing numbers in the WEEE collection actions, offering those giving away old appliances the possibility to buy new and modern products, from different partner stores. In Vaslui, the rewards have been offered by Albatros, an affiliated member of the RoRec Association, and were quite numerous: 5 DHS bicycles and 47 shopping vouchers worth 100 lei, to be used in the Frigoreb Vaslui store for the purchase of new Albatros fridges, freezers, and washing machines.
