Drawing competition “Green Inspiration”
As the ‘Invitation to Recycling’ campaign is run by the City Hall of the Municipality of Târgovişte in partnership with the Romanian Association for Recycling RoRec, you are invited to take part in the ‘Green Inspiration’ drawing competition on the theme “22 April – Earth Day”.
What is it all about?
Your City Hall and RoRec will build together the ‘Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Drop Off Centre’. In order to celebrate this partnership, we are organising the ‘Invitation to Recycling’ Campaign between 19 and 23 April. This is a WEEE collection action, as well as an awareness-raising campaign, promoting an environmentally-responsible behaviour.
What will happen?
First of all, we will collect old or broken electric equipment and home appliances. This is the right moment for all those who have such waste equipment at home to bring it over on Thursday 22 April and Friday 23 April to the RoRec tent in Parcul Chindiei and to receive in exchange a raffle ticket giving them the chance to win home appliances offered by Albatros. The raffle draw will take place on Friday evening on the stage in Parcul Chindiei, before the special Analia Selis concert.
At the same time, we will launch a media campaign, activities involving young volunteers, debates with the local authorities, and we will be enjoying ourselves at the Analia Selis concert on Friday night.
Our proposal for you
Every year on 22 April we celebrate Earth Day, a day when we are all aware of the beauty of this planet which offers us shelter, and a day when we are reminded that we should take care of it. We know that you want to protect nature, to live in a clean environment and to take care of your loved ones. We also know that you are inspired and that you have a vivid imagination. So we challenge you to take part in our ECO-themed drawing competition. We are waiting for your drawings showing what you wish for our planet in an Earth Day Card. You may choose to bring us an optimistic card (DOs) with your wishes for Planet Earth, or you may use this opportunity to underline some negative aspects (DON’Ts) you see in the environment. We are looking for original entries.
Tell us in images how you imagine the Earth Day party! You don’t have to know special drawing techniques, all you need is an interesting idea.
Send us your drawings at office@ifmagic.ro between 19 and 22 April or bring them to the RoRec tent between 10 a.m. on Thursday 22 April and 4 p.m. on Friday 23 April. Don’t forget to write your full name, age and the school you attend on the drawing, and your telephone number, e-mail and home address on the back. If you want, you can find an original title for your drawing.
You can bring in as many drawings as you wish. They will be all posted in the RoRec tent in Pacul Chindiei, but only one drawing for each participant will enter the competition.
The jury will be made up of City Hall and RoRec representatives, teachers and independent experts.
The winners will be announced on Friday, 23 April, after 7 p.m., during the show taking place on the stage in Parcul Chindiei, before the Analia Selis extraordinary concert.
The First Prize winner will receive a bicycle. The Second Prize winner will receive a Promotional RoRec Pack (green products: backpack, notepad, ball pen) and a ‘Wall-E’ DVD. The Third Prize winner will receive a ‘Wall-E’ DVD.
The most beautiful drawings will be posted on the roreckids.org.ro site after the competition is closed.
