Starting October 1st, the City Hall of district 6, partner of the Romanian Recycling Association, re-launches a campaign for the collection of waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) from the citizens living in this district of the Capital. The City Hall of district 6 and the RoRec Association, together with Analia Selis and her band, invite the citizens from District 6 to a special launch event on Saturday, October 1st.
After organizing a special one-day event on July 2nd that helped collect 6,000 kg of WEEE, the administrative officials of district 6 launch a long-term campaign on Saturday, October 1st. Analia Selis, RoRec ambassador, supports the launch of this project. Over a four-week period, starting with the October 1st weekend, the citizens of district 6 will be assisted in the disposal of electrical waste from their homes in areas designated by the City Hall, based on a schedule announced weekly.
Fixed collection points will operate in the active collection area every Saturday (October 1st, 8th, 15th and 22nd) and citizens can bring waste equipment here, while mobile teams will provide FREE pick-up of heavy or large waste equipment at their homes, based on requests placed by phone to the call center.
The call-center – permanently operational throughout the project – will provide details about the activity and take requests for free pick-ups from home. The phone numbers available starting Monday, September 24th until Saturday, October 22nd between 10:00 a.m. and 05:00 p.m. are:
