During the 10th and 11th of September 2010, the Romanian Recycling Association RoRec, together with Deva City Hall and with the support of Metro and Carpatcement, is organizing a WEEE collection campaign in Hunedoara county.
Therefore, we invite you Friday and Saturday, between 9:00 AM and 17:00 PM, at the collection points in Deva, in front of the "Drăgan Muntean” House of Culture and in the parking lot of the Deva Hotel, with any old or broken electric or electronic home...

The winners of the environmental campaign in Prahova county
Durin the campaign "The waste doesn't belong at home. Take it for a hike!" that took place on 27th and 28th august in the area of Prahova county, WEEE deponents had the opportunity to win an Arctic refrigerator, a Beko washing machine and 35 shopping tickets, of 150RON. The winners of the environmental campaign in Hunedoara county
Saturday, 28th august we organized a WEEE collection campaign in the towns of Orastie, Simeria si Geoagiu in Hunedoara county. The deponents had the opportunity to win one of 5 DHS bicycles or one of 50 shopping tickets worth 100 RON.

The winners of the Alexandria campaign
The "Green Capital of Romania" project, a campaign organized by Tuborg Romania, as a part of the "Green Umbrella” actions, reached Alexandria during the 27th-30th august where the RoRec volunteers got involved in the informative campaign as well as the WEEE collection actions.

RoRec tour de force “under” the Green Umbrella at Timisoara, Sibiu and Alexandria
Another important ecological initiative RoRec Association was involved in, in the last month, was the “Romania’s Green Capital” project, a campaign organized by Tuborg Romania as a part of the “Green Umbrella” series.

The „Waste doesn’t belong at home. Take it for a hike!” campaign had collected, by the end of August, 20,000 kilos of WEEE in the counties of Prahova and Hunedoara
The end of August caught the RoRec Association’s team involved simultaneously in two actions of WEEE collection in the counties of Prahova and Hunedoara.
During the last week-end of August, the RoRec Association, together with the Municipalities in Câmpina, Brebu, Băneşti, Cornu and Poiana Câmpina, have helped locals in the area dispose of their old electrical and electronic appliances, providing them, in return, with discount vouchers for new purchases.

Small, yet with lions hearts – by Catalin Paraschiv
The Diham chalet, 1320 m above sea level. The logging road that took us here did pose a bit of a challenge, but we got here fine. Everything around us is pitch-black. There’s nothing to navigate by, except for the chalet’s lights. And the racket. There’s quite some racket in the chalet.
We came here for three days, to “trade know-how” with the youngsters in the Leo Club – the „junior wing” of the Lions Club.

On the anniversary of the Vaslui city, the locals have decided to celebrate in a proper city
Celebrated with joy between August 19th and 22nd, the anniversary of Vaslui has drawn the locals out of their homes and to the party put together by the Municipality. Over 200 inhabitants of this city, attested in chronicles since 1375, have decided that this was the time to follow the campaign initiated by the RoRec Association: ”Waste doesn’t belong at home. Celebrate the Vaslui anniversary in a proper city!”
