On 6 - 8 November, we had the pleasure to meet in Sibiu 12 of the most important regional operators. This symposium gave us the chance to present to our local partners the European instruments used for treating WEEE, WEEELABEX, RepTools, as well as solutions to stimulate the waste flow, specific equipment and communication tools agreed by the association.
The symposium was part of the ‘RoRec Association Meetings – In dialogue with the stakeholders’ and it created an active framework for information and debate on subjects of interest for us, the practitioners in the WEEE management area. Of course, our meeting generated solutions suited to the situations we come across in our specific activities, and we were happy to have this dialogue with the regional operators, with whom we share the same interests. The feed-back that we received from the participants convinced us that such dialogue is very important for the development of the WEEE recycling industry in Romania, an industry we are building together, and that together we can find solutions for the rapid implementation of international environment standards at the local level.
