Tuborg Romania is the first company joining the batteries and portable accumulators collection network, which we launched as a CSR project for companies. Without being a RoRec member, Tuborg Romania is aware of how important it is to collect this type of electronic waste and to keep the environment clean.

The RoRec Association has developed a practical collection system, without implementation costs, which offers the possibility to promote a company’s image as partner in an educational project. Our initiative was launched as more and more companies show interest in social responsibility projects.

The project mechanism is very simple: each company receives a ‘battery collection kit’, made up of a cardboard container and a set of information materials created for internal communication as well as for external communication regarding the support offered to the project.

The effort on the partner company’s side is minimal. It simply involves agreeing to participate in the campaign, to inform the team and to invite the employees to join the collection activity. Tuborg Romania has installed two such kits at its headquarters and has offered to the employees information regarding the campaign.

By becoming a partner in this project, any company can offer a useful service to its employees, and it also contributes actively to passing on to them knowledge and information on environment protection, becoming also a model for other companies and demonstrating that care for the resources and for environmental education are true concerns of modern organisations rather than mere words.
