The RoRec Association has reached a number of 17 drop off centers, in partnership with municipalities throughout the country
RoRec, the Romanian Association for Recycling, has entered new partnerships with the Bărcăneşti (Prahova County), Găeşti (Dâmboviţa County) and Sânnicolau Mare (Timiş County) municipalities, so as to open new locations within RoRec’s WEEE Drop off Centers National Network.
As such, locals in Bărcăneşti choosing to adequately dispose of their old electric and electronic appliances may visit the drop off center established at the local Agricultural High school, while citizens from Găeşti have now a similar facility, near the bus terminal. The second centre in Timiş can be found on Drumul Conosului (the greenhouses area), in Sânnicolau Mare.
„We’d like to thank all members of the Local Councils, for their interest in increasing the awareness and responsibility among the locals, in respect to selective waste collecting; we welcome locals from Bărcăneşti, Găeşti and Sânnicolau Mare, as well as those from nearby villages, bringing in WEEE for proper disposal”, stated Mr. Liviu Popeneciu, President of the RoRec Association.
