Between 12th and 17th September 2010, representatives of the RoRec Association joined the Romanian delegation at the most important European environmental technologies fair, an event bringing together the most significant players in this field.

The Romanian delegation has been led by Mihail Proorocu, vice-president of ANPM, and included representatives of the National Environmental Protection Agency, of the Environmental Protection Agency – Bucharest and Ilfov branches, of the National Environmental Guard, of the RoRec and Ecomaster associations, having the support of the Reporter press Group.

The Romanian delegation was officially welcomed on Monday, September 13th, in the International Visitors Lounge, by Mr. Eugen Egetenmeir, Managing Director of Messe Munchen. The participants were presented with a brief history of the event, designed as a marketing and sales instrument for its customers and as a fair able to provide a holistic view on world-wide climate changes, as well as on the solutions to adequately manage them.

Scientists and business people from across the globe, attending IFAT ENTSORGA 2010, consider this event to be a functional platform, providing an efficient experience and know-how exchange. IFAT is an ideal occasion to establish and develop international business partnership, as well as cooperation initiatives involving the German Federal Ministry of Environment.

The Romanian delegation has attended various presentations, workshops and has visited numerous stands. „One of the presentations that definitely got our attention was that of the ETEM TECHNIC company, which claims that waste is no longer going to be a problem, but a source of electric power, gas and hot water. The firm provides feasibility studies and technologies on separating and recovering metal, glass and plastic”, said Mrs. Virginia Petrea, Audit and Controlling manager, RoRec.

At the MEWA stand, the delegation got the opportunity to study new recycling installations, abiding by the international standards, and providing exceptional technological performances.
