We are very happy to inform you that the construction work of the first drop off center, part of the RoRec National Drop off Centers Network is finished. In Valenii de Munte, Prahova County, subsequent to a joint effort with the local town hall, we can now announce the completion of the first RoRec WEEE drop off center, the premier of a network developed nationally.

“We can see how, subsequent to an investment effort and to the support of the Valenii de Munte Municipality, our project of establishing a network of modern drop off centers throughout the country is coming to life. The whole assembly is designed and built at European standards and, thus, is a model of what the RoRec Association can do, with the support of local authorities, for the benefit of communities and in accordance with European legislation. The plans for the future include the establishment of 100-120 such centers nationally, in partnership with local authorities”, declared Liviu Popeneciu, the President of the RoRec Association.

The new center in Valenii de Munte is situated at 36A George Enescu Street and involved local resources, both in the construction stage and especially after its conclusion, through information, awareness and WEEE collection campaigns. But the greatest benefit is the service provided to the population in the whole area surrounding Valenii de Munte. They can now bring here all the old electric and electronic equipment, so that these equipments can be included in a professional recycling system, for the benefit of the environment, according to European standards in the field.
