Teka rewards the children of Sacalaz for their dedication to WEEE collection
Teka, one of our association’s members, donated a dishwasher to General School no. 4 in Săcălaz, Timiş county, as a reward to the pupils who repeatedly got involved in WEEE collection activities.
The pupils of the Săcălaz school, including those from the Step by Step special needs class – who prepared a collage illustrating the way they see the reduction of the carbon footprint – took an active part in information and greening activities organised by the Săcălaz Townhall in partnership with RoRec. The children have taken part in all RoRec activities, they handed out WEEE drop-off centre information leaflets, playing the main role in the awareness-raising campaign.
This is why Teka Romania gave them a helping hand, so they would no longer need to ‘do the dishes’ and use that time to learn or play, as any child should.
