Full speed start in October
RoRec, the Romanian Recycling Association, has begun the October collection actions in Prahova and Ilfov counties. By the end of the month, RoRec and the local authorities have already planned more actions in Hunedoara, Călăraşi and Ilfov counties.
With the support of Eurosun Power, RoRec has organized on October 9th two WEEE collection actions in the Prahova and Ilfov counties, in 21 localities, around the Drop off centers established in partnership with the municipalities from Voluntari and Vălenii de Munte. The quantity of WEEE collected is more than 10,000 kilos.
„We wish to enter such partnerships with as many municipalities as possible, to efficiently contribute to encouraging locals to get rid of their old electric and electronic appliances, so that these WEEE will not harm the environment”, said Mr. Liviu Popeneciu, President of the RoRec Association.
Moreover, with the support of IfMagic, Mediamark and Carpatcement, the RoRec Association will organize WEEE collecting campaigns in the Călăraşi and Hunedoara counties.
